Message From The Head Of School

Welcome to First Preparatory Christian Academy! It is a true honor to begin my 23rd year in education here at FPCA. After spending the past 22 years in the public school system serving as a district ELA specialist, academic coach, media specialist, and classroom teacher, I am thrilled to now be part of a Christ-centered academic environment.

As a lifelong resident of Liberty County, I have a special place in my heart for
community partnership and family engagement. I believe strong relationships between
school, home, and community are key to student success, and I am excited to see
those connections thrive at FPCA.

I hold degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (B.A., 2003), Lesley University
(M.Ed., 2007), and Valdosta State University (Ed.S., 2015). Each step of my
professional journey has deepened my passion for education and my commitment to
helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Vince, and our four
children—Carmae, Matthew, Luke, and Noah. As Head of School, I look forward to
partnering with you to help guide your child toward academic success and, most
importantly, a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.

With joy and gratitude,

Leah D. Gumataotao, Ed.S.
