Message From The Head Of School

Welcome to First Preparatory Christian Academy! It is a true privilege to serve as Head of School and to continue investing in the students, families, and faculty who make FPCA such a special place. After spending 20+ years in the public school system as a district ELA specialist, academic coach, media specialist, and classroom teacher, I am grateful to be part of a Christ-centered community where faith and excellence go hand in hand.

As a lifelong resident of Liberty County, I have a special place in my heart for community partnership and family engagement. I believe strong relationships between school, home, and community are essential to student success, and I am thankful for the opportunity to strengthen those connections at FPCA.

I hold degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (B.A., 2003), Lesley University (M.Ed., 2007), and Valdosta State University (Ed.S., 2015). Throughout my career, each experience has deepened my passion for education and strengthened my commitment to helping students grow academically and in character.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Vince, and our four children, Carmae, Matthew, Luke, and Noah. It is a blessing to partner with our families as we prepare minds for leadership and hearts for service while guiding students toward academic excellence and, most importantly, a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.

With joy and gratitude,

Leah D. Gumataotao, Ed.S.

Head of School
